The End of YeltzTalk
Unfortunately, I don't have the time or energy to moderate this forum any more, so I decided the best way forward was to set up a forum for Yeltz fans on another site
The new forum is at http://www.fansfocus.com/forum/postlist.php/Board/Halesowen_town, so from now on all new posts should be put on there.
It's been fun (most of the time), and I'll see you all on the other side!
Cheers

Poll are we able to fantasy island again.
I want to beat Stokesy again!
Thinking of early gamesnow fixtures are out. Beat Kings Lynn 1-0 both the last two away games.

I'll try to get around to setting up the new game sometime in the next couple of weeks - it takes a while to sort out the new fixtures etc. - but we'll definitely be playing again this season - Poll |

Have just read Paul Flouds note and it gives us such comfort to know that Steve shared his last years being friends with such a lovely group of people as yourselves.
We read all the associated web sites every day as we know that is what Steve would have done.
We are dreading 2nd August arriving because we will be forced to admit that it has been a whole year since we last saw our beloved son but knowing that you guys are missing him as well means more than you know.
Bless you all and "come on the yeltz" |

| I would like to thank the small band of helpers who have given their time up during the summer to bring the Grove up to scratch. We have been racing against the clock due to the early start and work will continue up to the big kick off. I know there will be some clever comments like 'whats been done' but I can assure you many hours have been spent tidying up, painting etc and doing rain dances to bring on the pitch. Thanks to BT Dave, Keemo and his mate Dave, Dave the screw, Vince, Andy, Trev the post, Alex, Eric, Fred and Arthur, Keith, Dan and we have missed our Ant(other things on his mind). On a sad note we have missed Steve Spitfire, soon it will be the anniversary of his sad and un timely death. A few days before his passing we all went to Merry Hill for some ale and a chinese, our lasting memory of a lovely kind man was his amazing capacity for consuming spring rolls. To mark his passing we will be making what we call our pilgrimage to Steve. In the Brewers Wharf to drink a toast or two then to the China Palace. God bless you Steve we all miss you mate, the Grove is a poorer place without you bud |

I have to say that watching the world cup has helped me to forget about last seasons disapointments (not moaning, just saying it was all a bit disappointing).
I'm now looking forward to a season that will hopefully see is pushing forward - not only on the pitch, but also up the league to the playoffs (at least).
My only concern is that the key middle of the park man doesn't look as though he's been found (again, not moaning, stating pretty obvious fact) - still plenty of time to find him!
Come on lads lets have a go this year! |

| To be fair Poll, I think we have to acknowledge that its pre-season for the moaners as well !!!!! Think how critical they'll be when they have a few friendlies under their belts!! I can't wait :-) |

| Had a nose at the training last night and was amazed after hearing Coleman was with Bromsgrove actually training for us, with mark Gayle also very surprised to see Lee Ayres. Confused I am? |

| Don't wish to be too negative before a ball has been kicked, but it looks like the cup draws could have been a whole lot kinder too us. Away in the FA Cup to Telford and away again in the trophy to Hednesford is about as tough as it could of been. On the plus side should be two good away trips, particularly to the very well supported Telford, and a good chance to see some former friends in action - particularly the Pope! |
