YELTZ HALL OF FAME
Official Rules
- Eligible Candidates
Candidates to be eligible must meet the following requirements:
- The candidate must have been active as a player, manager or in some capacity at
Halesowen Town at some time during a period
ending ten years prior to election (excluding the initial ballot)
- The candidate must have been active in at least two seasons,
some part of which must have been within the period described in 1.1.
- Player shall have ceased to be an active player for Halesowen Town at least
two seasons preceding the election but may still be otherwise connected with football.
- Method of Election
- A Screening Committee consisting of Yeltz fans will be appointed by the the Yeltzland editor.
This Screening Committee shall consist of no more than 8 members.
- The duty of the Screening Committee shall be to prepare a ballot listing in alphabetical
order eligible candidates who:
- received a vote on a minimum of ten percent (10%) of the ballots cast in the preceding election or
- are eligible for the first time and are nominated by any two of the members of the Screening Committee.
- People eligible to vote are anyone who is either:
- A member of the Yeltz Mailing List for at least one season
- A player on Fantasy Island for at least one season
- Recognised by the Yeltzland editor as a genuine Yeltz fan
- An elector will vote for no more than ten (10) eligible candidates deemed worthy of election.
- In the initial season, 12 candidates will be elected to the Hall of Fame.
For subsequent seasons a maximum of 2 further candidates will be elected.
- The candidates receiving the highest number of votes cast will be elected to
membership in the Yeltz Hall of Fame.
- Voting
Voting shall be based upon the candidate's record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character,
and contributions to Halesowen Town in general.
- Time of Election
The vote will take place in April and May each year
- Certification of Election Results
The vote is for fun only, and the decision of the Yeltzland editor is final in all matters. Hurrah!
