YELTZ HALL OF FAME

Official Rules

  1. Eligible Candidates
    Candidates to be eligible must meet the following requirements:
    1. The candidate must have been active as a player, manager or in some capacity at Halesowen Town at some time during a period ending ten years prior to election (excluding the initial ballot)
    2. The candidate must have been active in at least two seasons, some part of which must have been within the period described in 1.1.
    3. Player shall have ceased to be an active player for Halesowen Town at least two seasons preceding the election but may still be otherwise connected with football.
  2. Method of Election
    1. A Screening Committee consisting of Yeltz fans will be appointed by the the Yeltzland editor. This Screening Committee shall consist of no more than 8 members.
    2. The duty of the Screening Committee shall be to prepare a ballot listing in alphabetical order eligible candidates who:
      1. received a vote on a minimum of ten percent (10%) of the ballots cast in the preceding election or
      2. are eligible for the first time and are nominated by any two of the members of the Screening Committee.
    3. People eligible to vote are anyone who is either:
      1. A member of the Yeltz Mailing List for at least one season
      2. A player on Fantasy Island for at least one season
      3. Recognised by the Yeltzland editor as a genuine Yeltz fan
    4. An elector will vote for no more than ten (10) eligible candidates deemed worthy of election.
    5. In the initial season, 12 candidates will be elected to the Hall of Fame. For subsequent seasons a maximum of 2 further candidates will be elected.
    6. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes cast will be elected to membership in the Yeltz Hall of Fame.
  3. Voting
    Voting shall be based upon the candidate's record, playing ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character, and contributions to Halesowen Town in general.
  4. Time of Election
    The vote will take place in April and May each year
  5. Certification of Election Results
    The vote is for fun only, and the decision of the Yeltzland editor is final in all matters. Hurrah!
