YELTZLAND CONTENTSAll About Halesowen TownWhat do you what to know today? We've got a short summary of our glorious history, how to get to the ground and other such dull but worthy subjects. Why Yeltz? It's the question on everyone's lips. Why the hell are you called The Yeltz? We got two answers, a boring pseudo-historical one and a much more likely one. Take your pick. Feeling homesick? Or maybe you're planning that dream holiday of a lifetime to sunny Halesowen? Then why not look at some lovely pictures of the oldest football ground in the world (it is - it's just we can't prove it!):
Have your own sayPlay Fantasy IslandYou've probably all heard of (and played) Fantasy Football, the game where you have to pick a team of Premiership footballers and get points depending on how well they do. Well this is a smaller and tackier version of that, so hence the name - Fantasy Island The idea is simple: all you have to do is to predict the scores of Halesowen games. The points you get are as follows:
Therefore there are 10 points available for each game. The winner is (obviously) the person who gets the most points at the end of the season. You can see how everyone is getting on on the Official Scoreboard. The prize? You'll officially be known as the most knowledgeable Yeltz fan in the world (and possibly a fantastically stylish Fantasy Island T-shirt although I'm very lax on doing this so don't hold your breath) If you want to play, first you need to register your details - basically we need to know who you are, an email address, and a password so no-one can forge your results. Then simply logon using the form above right and enter your predictions. Good Luck! Monthly CompetitionsA new feature this season. Just to keep everyone's interest up throughout the season, there will now be a monthly competition - you can probably work out how it works. No prizes for this I'm afraid :-(
Previous CompetitionsThe inaugural competition ended in a tie between Andi Mohr and Sean Jackson, then the extravaganza was won by the mighty Kev Without Trev Crook - now a double winner after taking the title again in 2004. The 2001 title was taken by Steve Smith, Nigel Crumpton won in 2002, and then David H took the crown in 2003. 2005 saw Anna was a welcome first female winner of the title, and then 2006 saw DJ (Dave Johnson) finally take the title. Our current 2007 champion is Darren Marklew
